The campaign is heating up. Our volunteers have knocked on over 3,000 doors to date and one candidates debate is in the books. We were all on Cable 14 a week or so ago, and the debate will be made available to the general public on-line on October 19th.
It was a busy weekend and I was proud to walk with other candidates from across the city in the “Strides for the General” hospital fundraiser at Bayfront Park. Then, Sunday was the annual Terry Fox Run in support of cancer research where I was able to run with my friends in my various running groups. It’s all about community.
In the mean time, if you are a Rogers or COGECO subscriber, you can watch a repeat of the debate (set your PVR) on Wednesday, September 19th at 10 am and again Tuesday, September 25th at 9 am.
This week we have an all-candidates meeting at the Dundas Lions Community Centre on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:00 a.m. to talk about seniors issues. Then, a candidates bike ride on Thursday morning, September 20th at 8:30, sponsored by Dundas Cycles. That one, I am really looking forward to! And, of course, there is the all-candidates forum at the Dundas Baptist Church, sponsored by Dundas Works and the Association of Dundas Churches taking place Tuesday, September 25th at 6:30 p.m.
And don’t forget our big fundraising event this Saturday, September 22nd at the Dundas Museum and Archives, 139 Park Street West! Go to the donate page on this site to purchase tickets.
